HOW TO REDUCE MENOPAUSAL HAIR LOSS

These tips should help;

STRESS makes you feel exhausted even when you’ve slept all day.  Stress can make you irritable and run down.  During the menopause your stress levels can be at an all-time high. It can also have a negative effect on your hair.  It disrupts your hair’s growth cycle which makes it more prone to breakage and falling out.  Set aside time for yourself to relax.  Read a book, meditate, have a massage, go for a walk.  All these things will help.

EXERCISE is very important as it helps you destress, and releases happy hormones called endorphins.  Exercise increases dopamine levels in the brain which also decreases stress and increases your mood taking away feelings of sadness.  It also helps regulate your hormones.

DIET is key. The healthier the food we eat the healthier our bodies will look and feel.  During the menopause it’s important to focus on foods that are rich in protein.  Protein helps the hair follicles grow. It doesn’t mean that you can’t have a naughty treat every once in a while. We’ve got to live through this, so treats are essential.  Water is also key to keep us hydrated.

VITAMINS are a good way of making sure that we get the correct balance of everything that our bodies need.  Another tip is to see your doctor for a blood test.  This way they can check your vitamin levels to see if there is any particular vitamin that you could be lacking and then you can take a supplement to increase this.
