Fruit is probably not something that you’ve thought of with regards to the benefits that they could hold for your hair.

Some of your favourite fruits not only taste delicious but are actually beneficial when it comes to hair loss, scalp moisture and strengthening the hair follicles.

Fruits can also promote hair growth and thickness and they can also help provide additional benefits for your skin at the same time.  

Did you know that a MANGO is packed full of vitamins A and C which are both known to support hair health.  Vitamin A helps your skin produce sebum which helps keep your scalp and hair moisturised. Vitamin C works in much the same way with the additional benefit of helping with breakage.  Vitamin C boosts collagen, which is essential for the production of Keratin (the protein that makes up our hair).  Less collagen can cause thinning and hair loss.  

COCONUT has so many different uses.  We find it often in shower gels, body lotions and in many hair products. Coconut oil is great for hair health.  Coconuts contain medium fatty acids which are easily absorbed into the hair.  Applying Coconut oil to damp hair will add moisture and strength.


The Passiflora genus contains a number of flowers and fruits that are both gorgeous and great for both our skin and hair.  When it comes to hair-care products, you’ll sometimes see Passiflora incarnata, which is a fruit extract from the passion flower.  Again, it’s packed rich with Vitamins A and C.  They work hand in hand to stop breakage and strengthen your strands.
