HOW YOU SHOULD BE WASHING YOUR HAIR DURING WINTER

WASHING:

Washing your hair too frequently can strip it of its natural oils that keep it healthy. Natural oils create a protective layer between our scalp and hair. To avoid drier hair in Winter we should try to wash our hair less. Try going one more day than you normally would and see how you get on.   There is no specific formula as to how many times you should be washing it but there are some signs that you could look out for which would indicate that it could be too much;

 

-       An increase in split-ends

-       Dandruff that you might not have had before

-       Your hair may become more frizzy

-       Your hair may lose its shine

-       If you have coloured hair the it might be fading quickly

It reduces the appearance of grease, it smells great and the real bonus is, it will give you extra volume! Once you've tried it you won't look back. Here's a bonus tip; if you simply can't reduce your washing frequency then make sure that you don't leave home with damp hair. Hair is at its most fragile state when it's wet so if it's not properly dry then the cold air can cause additional breakage.
