Taking the decision to have your hair coloured for the first time can be very daunting and to be honest, most people feel quite overwhelmed at the thought of entering a salon and entering into a discussion with someone about what they want. A consultation before colouring your hair is simply the most important part of your journey to having coloured hair. It’s where we as stylists can get a vision and an idea of what you’d like. This should be fun. Why? Because this is where your stylist can get the best idea of exactly what look you are trying to achieve and then the next step is to make it happen. During a consultation you'll be asked a series of questions:
-To show us pictures of your ideal result.
-Have you ever coloured your hair before?
-What colours do you like?
-What don't you like?
-Possibly what's your hair care routine, how much time do you have to spend on your hair? There is no point in creating a look that is high maintenance if you only have 5 minutes a day to look after your hair.
-Upkeep is another one, is the look you are going for going to cost you a fortune to keep looking fabulous or is it going to be cost effective to look after.
These are all the types of questions that we will ask you during a consultation. It's important for us to establish a picture of exactly what you want before we even start. We'll take unto 15 minutes discussing your requirements to ensure that we get it exactly right on the day.
