WHY IS MY HAIR SO FRIZZY?

This is a question we get asked a lot!

The main cause of frizz is lack of moisture in the hair. Dry hair absorbs moisture from the air, causing frizz which also explains why when we go on holiday the humidity in the air makes frizz even worse. Frizz can also be caused by dry or even damaged hair, but don't worry there are plenty of things that you can do to combat the dreaded frizz effect. Let's be honest, no-one wants to look like "Monica" from friends in that famous episode do they which is why we've got some tips below to help you out;

TOWEL DRYING: - Don't towel dry your hair as this could strip essential oils, instead, wrap it in a microfibre towel and take out water and then leave it to dry naturally.

OVER BRUSHING: - The more you brush the more you can end up causing breakage which will leave you with brittle ends and more frizz.

SPLIT ENDS: - Split ends are extremely prone to frizz so make sure you have regular trims.

HUMIDITY: - This is a major cause of frizz but you can protect your hair be using a "Moisture Barrier" hairspray or serum.

BE STYLE SAVY: - If you have long hair and it's prone to frizz on holiday then why not practise some hair up solutions that you could do yourself whilst you are away. This way, you are in control of your hair and not the other way around.

You can now look forward to the summer without having to worry about how you are going to control your hair.
