DO YOU KNOW HOW TO CLEAN YOUR HAIRDRYER?
Be honest now, how many of us have ever done this? Properly cleaning your hair tools and accessories is as important as changing the oil in your car or cleaning out the vent in your tumble dryer. Hairdryers vents allow air to pass through the motor, helping guard it against exhaustion and overheating. Filters catch dust, hair and products that would otherwise settle where you dry your hair. Cleaning your dryers vent and filter regularly will help protect the motor and help maintain consistent air flow:
Here's how to do it;
- Unplug your dryer
- Twist vent to open
- Wash the mesh insert and filter cap under warm water and set aside to air-dry completely
- Using a damp cloth or unused toothbrush, carefully remove all dust from the metal filter. Again, allow to air-dry.
PRO-TIP: - Use the nozzle of a vacuum cleaner to suck up dust and dirt.
