DAMAGED HAIR SOLUTIONS

So, you’ve identified that your hair is damaged but the most important thing is, how are you going to get it in tip top condition as quickly as possible. Here’s a few tips on how to get you back on track;

Weekly hair masks: these are an absolute must have.  It’s all about restoring moisture to your hair as quickly as possible.  In salon one’s tend to do the job quicker but if you don’t have the time or budget for salon visits then why not purchase a professional one from a salon and do it yourself at home.

Silk pillow case: we’ve touched on this subject before.  A cotton or polyester pillow case could be causing your hair to break overnight and ultimately end up in hair loss.  Switch to a silk pillow and whilst you move in your sleep your hair will simply glide over your pillow case as opposed to the creating friction that non-silk pillow cases can do.

Serum or leave in conditioners: If you haven’t got time in your routine to incorporate a hair mask then why not invest in a serum or leave in conditioner.  This will keep your hair hydrated throughout the day and shouldn’t leave your hair greasy.  Just remember not to apply too much.

Scrunchies: We all know that elastic bands directly on the hair are an absolute no no as they tend to be too tight and pull lots of hair out every time you remove them.  Swap your elastic bands for scrunchies, your hair will thank you for it.

Get a trim: this is the best and quickest way to get rid of damaged split ends is to go for a trim.  Regular visits to your hairdressers in addition to the above other tips should enable you to keep your hair in great condition all year round.
