WHAT DOES HAIR SERUM REALLY DO?

Many people think that hair serum will weigh down naturally fine hair.  This all depends on which serum you use and especially how much of it you apply to your hair.  Hair serums are very popular as they are a life line to many people and form an important part of their daily hair care regime.

Hair serums are liquid based treatments that provide a protective layer over the hair fibre, assisting in the job of smoothing out frizz.  Serum gives you a smooth layer over the hair which reflects the light giving you a shiny but not greasy finish.  Serums are great for reducing your home styling time and saving you from the damage caused by heated styling tools.

Hair serum can solve multiple hair problems as it adds shine, leaves your hair smooth to the touch, detangles, repairs damage and protects your hair from pollution.

Hair serum is usually applied onto wet or towel-dried hair after shampooing and conditioning and before styling however some can be applied to dry hair.  Whichever way you decide to use your hair serum remember; less is more otherwise you could end up applying too much which will leave your hair greasy.

Apply a few drops to the palm of your hand, rub together and smooth down the hair from the roots to the tip.  Use a comb to remove any tangles and this will also help distribute the serum throughout your hair.  Because serum provides a protective coat over the hair, it can also prevent damage when using straighteners, tongs or even your hair dryer.

If you’ve noticed your hair looking dull and lacklustre recently, breaks easily and you suffer from excess frizz or flyaway hairs then a serum could be your solution.
